I’ve just got back from a hectic couple of days in the German capital. I spent most of my time, camera in hand, rushing from place to place to try to see all that this eclectic city has to offer.
From the imposing grandeur of the Brandenburg Gate and the Bundestag, to the sobering fracture of the all-too-recent Berlin Wall, and the colourful charisma of the Kunsthaus Tacheles. Wandering through the eerily vast expanse of the deserted Tempelhof airport with its monumental terminal building (one of the largest buildings on earth) was an interesting experience. I also found my way in to the abandoned Soviet era amusement park, Spreepark, which has now been left to decay.
One of the most noticeable things about Berlin is the expressive street art and graffiti. I’ll be sharing more of this in all its colourful vibrance in my next post.
By the end of my time, with my feet ready to fall off, I had no choice but to resort to pastries, currywurst and ice cream to refuel!
beautiful and eclectic mix of shots

Wow! Thanks for taking us with you.
Exceptional series that makes me want to visit Berlin soon.
Lovely series. I can see Berlin beauty in them 🙂
Beautiful shots. Did you get a chance to enjoy the vacation 🙂
Thank you! I did for a few minutes at least!
An incredible set of photos of Berlin!
I love how tight some of the shots were: looking up, looking down, and even a look to the side. Thanks to your photos, I saw different sides to the Hauptstadt. I also enjoyed how you sprinkled various shots of Brandenburger Tor in your 48-hour series. Brilliant stuff!
Simply incredible shots! I am both jealous & inspired of how beautifully you captured this city.
