Arrows, lights and city sights

It’s that time of year when I get itchy feet and start planning where my travels will take me over the coming months. With a few trips planned, which I hope will provide me with some great photos to share with the world, I thought I’d hop on a train and have a day out in Manchester to get me started.

There’s plenty to see and do in Manchester, and it immediately feels more exciting when you have to dodge the trams on the city streets. There are also some fantastic buildings, particularly the older ones which reward you for looking up above the commercial facades.

After walking around for hours, searching out the new and the familiar, I retired to a Mexican restaurant. Amongst the bright colours and South American rhythms, I rested my feet and daydreamed about the adventures to come. First Manchester, then the world!
