Starting with a bang

2011 is over, and it was a really great year for me. I’m hoping 2012 is going to be even better. I decided to start the year with a challenge, so headed off to Wales with my husband and his friend. We arrived at Mount Snowdon as daylight was beginning to break, and could see its shadow looming against the dark blue sky. I’ve climbed it before, in high winds and heavy rain so the fact that it was fairly calm was quite a relief.

As we approached the summit, it got a bit trickier. Frozen snow pockets and icy rocks made it more of a challenge as we ascended into the cloud-cover at the top. As we reached the summit, the freezing wind was incredible. We struggled to stand and within minutes our gloves, backpacks and even eyelashes were icing over! It was certainly refreshing.

As well as a physical boost to kick-off 2012, I was contacted by Lou from Whimsical Wonderland Weddings who said that the photos I had sent of Angie and Rob’s secret wedding were going to be featured on the blog on the 3rd January. I’m really pleased to have been given this opportunity, and I hope it is a sign of things to come. I hope everybody has enjoyed the holidays and is ready to make the most of the new year. Here’s to 2012, I hope it brings you all every success and happiness.

  2. Epic shots, the weather really added another dimension to the pics. Probably was miserable to be in (LOL) but they look great on film.
