When it snows here, panic ensues. Roads grind to a halt, supermarkets sell out of essential supplies and people obsessively clear their driveways to make sure the snow doesn’t get them in their sleep. “What if we get snowed in?” they all ask. It could happen…
Before I succumbed to mass hysteria, I ventured out and enjoyed the white stuff. I took a few photos in the park as children rode their cheaply made, high-priced, impulsively purchased toboggans. A plastic graveyard at the bottom of the hill, testament to their quality-assured production. Even the dogs were charging around erratically, leaping through my photos like a mad, well, dog.
They say Brits have a stiff upper lip, but when it comes to the snow we always seem to lose our cool. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to shovel snow with the shards of sharp plastic I collected from the hill, before tucking into 19 loaves of emergency bread. I might just make it through this thing…

i always want to go full frame after visiting your posts… awesome pictures!
Awesome work Morgan! I’m yet to get any snow in Glasgow :-/
This is a really beautiful series — and the shot with the dog totally cracked me up!
Great winter shots. I was laughing out loud whenI read your post. It sounds just like how people in Maryland react when it snows. It’s been a mild winter here until today. It got really colder – colder than its been in over 2 years – we might get snow on Friday – hope so – I am anxious to get out and get some snow shots.
I love the picture of the dog dancing!
That dog! So great! I always love your pics, these were magical

Thanks Andrea, it certainly did!
Great photo’s love the way you have photographed the snow covered streets at night..can I ask do you use a tripod much for your photography or are they mainly hand held?
Thanks very much. I rarely use a tripod. It’s mainly available light, handheld, such as with this series.
